On August 3rd, 2024, LAWE held a special event to celebrate 20 years of dedication to preserving traditional weaving and empowering women, in collaboration with Sekolah Kampung Omah Kayu and Tepi Kota.
The event was attended by a wide range of guests, including LAWE’s homebase team, representatives from NGOs, community members, academics, BLKPP DIY, and LAWE Lovers—our loyal customers and supporters who have continuously championed our work and mission.
This moment also marked the launch of LAWE’s new website, serving not only as a step to strengthen our identity and expand our digital reach, but also as a platform to introduce LAWE’s rebranding process to the public—as part of our ongoing commitment to remain relevant, adaptive, and collaborative in promoting cultural preservation and women’s empowerment now and in the future.
